Dr. Lew-Goltz was born and raised in New Jersey.  Having worn glasses since the third grade, she developed an early interest in the field of optometry.  Dr. Lew-Goltz has over 20 years of experience providing eye care.

She is certified by the Colorado Board of Optometry to treat eye trauma and eye diseases, such as glaucoma and dry eye syndrome.  She is experienced in contact lenses (click on this "contact lenses" to learn more about the "In Office Test Drive Program", including specialty fits for bifocals, keratoconus, and post-surgical corneas.

As listed above, she has received multiple awards for her work with contact lenses and with LASIK patients.  In the past, she has worked as the primary full-time optometrist at a 5-surgeon ophthalmology center, which specializes in glaucoma, cataract, cornea, and post-surgical, keratoconic, and specialty contact lens fits.

Dr. Lew-Goltz has also worked as a full-time optometrist within two major refractive surgery multi-center corporations, performing the pre-op and post-op exams.  She has extensive experience working with, and listening to, over 20,000 LASIK and PRK patients, and she is also a LASIK patient herself.

"I am very proud of my thorough examinations.  My patients say that they appreciate my personal attention, thoughtfulness and caring demeanor."  Dr. Lew-Goltz can also provide exams in Spanish.

She enjoys being an active member of our community.  To fulfill a need in our community, she had created a "Community Service Vision Program for Children" in 2009.  This program helped to provide local families with access to eyecare for their children.  She also works with several local and state welfare programs, and contributes to several local organizations.  She is the founder of "The Kangaroo Club of Durango", a local outdoors recreation club for parents.  She has participated in international volunteer efforts, such as Volunteers of Optometric Services to Humanity.  In her spare time, Dr. Lew-Goltz enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dogs.
